Bhubaneswar: The state Congress is all set for an image makeover. Senior party leader and former OPCC president Jayadev Jena on Saturday hinted that the party in the state will soon undergo organisational changes and a decision will be taken as early as possible.

"We had a discussion with Rahul Gandhi on what can be done to strengthen the party. Earlier, the Congress Vice-President had asked us to give our suggestions, which four of us had already given in a written form. He also said that he would take a decision regarding Odisha as early as possible after consulting Congress President Sonia Gandhi," said Jena after an hour-long meeting with Rahul.

The other party leaders, who accompanied Jayadev Jena, included Union Minister Srikant Jena, MP Bhakta Charan Das and senior leader Lulu Mohapatra.

The hartal sponsored by BJD in the state yesterday also came up during the discussion, Jena said.

However, another senior party leader and Union Minister Srikant Jena did not disclose much and said, "We discussed about party organisation."

This is for the second time in a month Rahul Gandhi had a meeting with these senior party leaders.
