One More Arrested in Sarpanch Murder Case

Berhampur: Police today arrested another person in connection with the double murder incident which had taken place at Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district a week ago, police said.

Prana Nath Bhuyan of Khairaputi was arrested from the Belguntha-Balipadar area for alleged involvement in the murder of sarapanch of Khairaputi panchayat Trilok Bisoi and his associate Pitabash Jena.

Police had earlier arrested two other persons in this connection and recovered a pistol from them. Several others were also involved in the incident and police were conducting raids to nab them, said sub-divisional police officer, Bhanjanagar SC Jamadar.
