Bhubaneswar: The state Assembly on Saturday was adjourned till December 3, after paying rich tribute to former Prime Minister late I K Gujral.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made the condolence reference which was accepted by the Opposition. Congress leader Bhupinder Singh too presented a condolence speech on Gujral who served the nation as Prime Minister from April 1997 to March 1998.

Soon after the speech, the House stood in silence for a minute as a mark of respect to the departed soul of the former Prime Minister who passed away on Friday.

Speaker Pradip Kumar Amat then adjourned the Assembly till December 3.
