Khurda: An MBA graduate was arrested yesterday by Khurda Industrial Area Outpost Police from an apartment near Janla on charges of duping Rs 25 lakh in the name of providing admission to a student in a government-run medical college.

The accused, identified as Pradosh Dash of Naugaon area in Jagatsinghpur district, used to dupe people by assuring them of help in getting jobs in different public and private companies and admissions in medical colleges, informed sources.

As per reports, Dash allegedly took Rs 25 lakh from one Trilochan Barik of Markatnagar in Cuttack district by assuring him that he would help his (Barik’s) son get a seat in a medical college.
