Sambalpur: The district police has yet again arrested renowned Maoist cadre Bisi Pradhan for his involvement in naxalite activities in the district. Bisi had been arrested twice earlier for his involvement in three major Maoist attacks.

Bisi who hailed from village Muktal under Jujumura police station faced charges for alleged killing of Kadar Singh, the sarpanch of Meghapal in 2003 and another case of kidnapping in 2005. Police suspected that Bisi had once again become active inm organising Maoist camps and collection of booties as well as consumer items for the left wing ultras.
