Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, a man was allegedly gunned down by his younger brother at Kanan Vihar area under Chandrasekharpur police limits on Thursday.

Roshan Lakra was shot twice by his younger brother Sanjiv Lakra and died on the spot, police said.

Sanjiv, who fled the crime spot after the murder, met with an accident near a fish market where police arrested him.

 
The weapon used in the crime was seized from him, they added.

Prima facie investigation suggests that family disputes could be the reason behind the murder.

A case has been registered by Chandrasekharpur police and the body has been sent for post mortem.
