D-brothers link: Ex-DGP’s steno to be questioned again
Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police will again interrogate former DGP Sanjeev Marik’s steno, Rabindra Sethi on Thursday.
It’s worthwhile to mention here that Sethi had met the arrested criminal siblings- Sushil and Susant Dhalasamant after they were arrested.
Another former DG Anadi Sahu has alleged “Marik had three stenos of whom Rabindra Kumar Sethi was dealing with his illegal money transactions. He had a huge financial deal to the tune of about Rs 7 crore with the Dhalasamant brothers and visited their farm at Khuntakata near Athagarh several times.”
Similarly, former Councillor of Rourkela Ashesa Mohanty alias Bulu who was detained by the Commissionerate Police on Monday for allegedly having connections with the arrested Dhalasamant brothers will also be interrogated further.
Moreover, police will also question the officials of Ramki and Sulabh International for their alleged links with the D-brothers.
The commissionerate police had interrogated Sethi for about three hours at the Chauliaganj police station in Cuttack on Wednesday.
Sources said the police, during interrogation had sought details from Sethi as to why he had gone to meet the Dhalasamant brothers while they were produced in the SDJM court on February 16, what were the conversations between him and the criminal siblings and since how long he knew them.
It may be mentioned that following the news about Sethi’s conversation with the Dhalasamant brothers at the SDJM court in the media, the State Police, which had earlier transferred him from the State Police headquarters in Cuttack to the Biju Patnaik Police Academy in Bhubaneswar two months ago, transferred him again to the office of the South-Western Range at Koraput.
The Chauliaganj police had served a notice to Sethi on last Tuesday to appear for interrogation. On receipt of the notice, Sethi had appeared at the police station on Wednesday for interrogation.
