Bhubaneswar: The deadlock in Odisha Assembly over chit fund scam continued for fourth straight day, with Opposition Congress reiterating its demand for the resignation of chief minister Naveen Patnaik.

Unable to run the House, which could transact business for barely two minutes, Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned it till 12:30 pm and called for an all party meeting to end the logjam.

Notably, yesterday’s meeting was inconclusive as the members of the Opposition parties stick to their demand and did not agree for reconciliation.

As soon as the House assembled for the day, Congress and BJP members rushed to the well and demanded clarification from the chief minister on the funds received by the ruling BJD. They demanded his resignation and dubbed him as "autocratic."

While the Congress members resorted to sloganeering, the BJP lawmakers wore black clothes to show their protest against the State government.
