Nayagarh: One person died while four others got injured in a group clash in Betakholi village under Bhapur block in Nayagarh district on Tuesday.
According to sources, the clash broke out between two groups over a trivial incident and took violent turn when nearly 20 people from one group resorted to bomb hurling. They too attacked the group with sharp edged weapons which led to the death of one Gobinda Nanda and left 4 others injured.
Vivid over the death, a furious mob of the opposite group marched towards the village and torched homes of the opponents.
The district administration has deployed one platoon of police force in the village to keep the law and order situation intact.
