Rourkela: Four people were killed and six others injured, four of them seriously, in three different road accidents in Sundargarh district since Sunday, police said today.

Two persons died on the spot while six others were injured, four of them seriously, when a jeep in which they were travelling hit a roadside tree at Tikayatpally, about 70 km from here early this morning. All the injured were admitted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) here.

In another road mishap, one person died on the spot when a dumper hit his bike near Deogaon under Raghunathpally police limit of the city on Sunday evening.

Another man of Salakuta village under Banei police limit died on the spot when an unknown vehicle hit him while he was walking back homeon Sunday evening.
