Congress candidate Judhistir Samantaray pulls out of fray over ‘horse trading’

Pipili: Former Pipili MLA and Congress candidate Judhistir Samantaray today pulled out of fray and leveled serious allegations against Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) chief Niranjan Patnaik. The matter came to light after a video showing Judhistir making such allegations while addressing his supporters went viral.

Though Judhistir Samantaray was nominated for Pipili Assembly seat by the Congress, he alleged that OPCC chief is conspiring to defeat him in the elections. He also expressed his displeasure citing delay in announcement of his candidature.

“OPCC chief is selling party tickets for crores. Being one of the senior party leaders, the injustice done to me and the party members is not acceptable,” alleged Samantaray.

“I will return the party ticket and will not contest in this election,” added Samantaray

Samantaray confirmed that he will not join any other party as well as not contest as an independent candidate. The OPCC chief is yet to respond to the allegations made by Samantaray.
