BJP membership drive: Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chouhan to visit Odisha

Bhubaneswar: With an aim to give a boost to the membership drive of the BJP in Odisha, party’s convener of national membership drive and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chouhan will visit the State on August 10.

BJP State General Secretary Prithviraj Harichandan informed media that Chouhan will kick off the membership drive in Khurda district by becoming a party member at a booth in Khurda.

“Chouhan will reach Bhubaneswar at 2 pm and will hold a meeting with party leaders involved in the membership drive to review the progress. Later he will participate in a membership drive at Gita Bhawan in Khurda,” Harichandan added.

The Odisha unit of BJP has set a target to enrol 50 lakh members. In July, Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had launched the state-level BJP membership drive in Ekamra Assembly constituency in Bhubaneswar.
