Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance department on Monday conducted raids on the residences of Excise Deputy Commissioner, Cuttack, Dilip Kumar Nag and seized Rs 28 lakh cash and 100 grams of gold.
Vigilance SP Sashi Bhushan Mishra said, “Five teams are conducting raids at Dilip’s five residences; the operation is going on,” adding that the officials have seized gold and cash from his Jagamara residence.
The raids were conducted at the five places at the same time after complaint of owning assets disproportionate to his known sources of income were received against Nag, said sources at the Vigilance office.
However, Nag, who is in charge of State Beverage Corporation, could not give satisfactory answer when asked about so much of cash.
