Scrap merchant shot dead in Cuttack

Cuttack: A scrap merchant was allegedly shot dead by unidentified miscreant in the city on Tuesday night.

Sources said Rabi Lenka, the local trader, was standing with his bike in front of a hospital near College Square when two bike borne youths fired two rounds of bullet at him.

Lenka, who sustained severe injuries, was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital where he was declared dead.

Police are investigating the matter. Sources said business rivalry is suspected to be the reason behind the crime.
