Bolangir: In a tragic incident, a migrant labourer, who was rescued from the local railway station yesterday in a critical condition, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at the district headquarter hospital here.

The deceased, identified as Bibeka Chand of Uma village of Boudh district, gave sensational information to media before his death that the owner of an Andhra-based brick kiln, where he used to work, raped his wife in front of him. When Chand resisted it, the culprit killed his two sons and thrashed him black and blue with the help of an associate.

Crestfallen by the series of events, Chand touched a live electric wire in a bid to kill himself. He sustained serious burn injuries but was left untreated at the brick kiln. However, he managed to escape and reach here somehow. The railway police rescued and rushed him to the hospital.
