Panic in Odisha village after Tigress with cubs spotted

Jajpur: Panic gripped Binjharpur region in the district after some locals of nearby Gulahi village spotted a tigress along with her three cubs roaming near the locality Wednesday evening.

After getting information from the villagers, forest department officials carried out a search operation and found some pugmarks from the spot. Meanwhile, people have demanded immediate measures to capture the big cat.

"We took pictures of the pugmarks and sent for further verification. It was found that the pugmarks are not of a tiger but our efforts are on to trace and capture the animal," said Forester, Jajpur Town, Premananda Routray.
