Youth injured during firing in Cuttack; culprit held

Cuttack: One was injured as a miscreant opened fire near College square in Pilgrim Road in the city on Saturday.

The injured person has been identified as Arun Behera, who is working with a business establishment in the city.

Behera has sustained injuries in lower stomach and is admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital.

Source said the accused was having an argument with the owner of the business establishment where Behera is working. Behera tried to stop the culprit from fighting with his employer which is when the attacker shot at him.

The reason behind the fight between the accused and the owner was dispute over land, sources added.

Police and Forensic team have reached the spot and investigating the matter.
