Sura Baba conducted his own Rath Yatra

Bhubaneswar: In another case of extravagance which has come to fore, the arrested godman conducted his own Rath Yatra, that was considered as one of the most awaited and sacred ritual at his Trahi Achyuta ashram.

According to sources, the godman himself used to lounge atop the ostentatiously decorated chariot, which was pulled by women followers. The

chariot is taken from the ashram on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar to Puri via Balipatna, Nimapara, and Konark. The chariot returns to the ashram via Sakshigopal, Pipila and Utara.
