Bhubaneswar: The special Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) will be held today for filing up the vacant seats in engineering, MBA and MCA courses in the State colleges.

Around 11,000 candidates will appear the test at 16 exam centres in five cities-Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur, Sambalpur and Balasore. The exam will start at 11 am. The result will be announced on September 9 and registration will be held on 10. The students can download their rank card from the website on the same day. Counseling will be conducted between September 10 and 12.

Notably, 33,000 seats in engineering have remained vacant in the earlier counseling while 3,420 seats in MBA and 2,417 seats are vacant in MCA. The government conducted entrance test twice for single trade for the first time after the Supreme Court order.
