Govt forbidden to hold special JEE for B tech

New Delhi/ Bhubaneswar: The Supreme Court on Thursday forbidden Odisha Government to conduct the special JEE and second JEE for B Tech and MBA, MCA courses till a further order.

Odisha Technical Education and Training department which decided to the conduct the tests on August 10 as per the Orrissa High Court’s order, has postponed now, Minister Sanjay Dasburma told newsmen on Thursday.

The Government decision came in the wake of the decision of High Court asking for a special Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to fill the B Tech seats and second JEE to fill the remaining seats in MCA and MBA lying vacant in several colleges.

A day after court’s order, the Government had set Aug 10, 12 and 14 as date of exams, result announcement and spot counseling respectively.
