Bhubaneswar: An excise sub-inspector was arrested by anti-corruption Vigilance wing in Sundargarh district for allegedly accepting Rs 30,000 bribe from a person to issue a license for selling mohua flowers.

Following a complaint, Vigilance sleuths laid a trap at the office of the accused excise sub-inspector Jagannath Mishra and caught him when he allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe money of Rs 30,000 from the complainant.

The bribe money of Rs 30,000 has been recovered from the possession of Mishra in the presence of witnesses, a Vigilance release said adding that the residential house of Mishra is under search.
