Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik along with chief secretary Gokul Chandra Pati will visit Sambalpur today to take stock of health condition after the outbreak of jaundice which claimed 17 lives there.

Prior to this, chief secretary and Health & Family Welfare minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak also visited the western city of the state to review the health situation.

According to government, while the death toll reached 17 including two deaths on Sunday, as many as 1,270 are affected with the water-borne diseases.
