Food grains under NFSA in 16 districts from today

Bhubaneswar: Food grains will be distributed to beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) in 16 districts of Odisha from Monday.

As many as two crore two lakh twenty-three thousand one hundred nine beneficiaries will be benefitted in the second phase implementation of the NFSA. A total of fifty three lakh four thousand eight seven families have been included under the food security act.

The 16 districts are Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Nabarangpur, Balasore, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Rayagada and Sundergarh.

Beneficiaries will be provided with rice at Rs 3 per kg and wheat at Rs 2 per kg under the food security act.
