Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi on Monday took a jibe at ‘mischief mongers’ who had recently put up her missing posters at different places in the Smart City mocking her absence from the constituency during the raging controversy over draft NMA heritage bylaws.

“Such posters are helping me,” Sarangi told reporters at Bhubaneswar airport following her arrival from New Delhi on Monday morning while taking a dig at her detractors.

Seeking to clear the air of doubt surrounding her absence from the constituency, the Bhubaneswar MP said, “I was in the Lok Sabha during the budget session from January 29 to February 13 when I learnt about my ‘missing posters’. From March 8 to April 8, I will again be attending the second session of the Parliament which is my duty as a people’s representative in the Lower House.”

Apparently making a direct dare at the, what she said, ‘mischief mongers’, Sarangi said “I thank those who had put up missing posters. I urge them to put similar posters in each and every street and by-lane corners of the city as it is helping me. I am a people’s representative and it is really an honour if people miss my absence.”

It is pertinent to mention here that the Laxmi Sagar police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with a clash over putting up missing posters of the MP. They have been identified as Dhaneswar Barik and Jyoti Ranjan Panda. Barik is reportedly a personal assistant of Sarangi.
