Bhubaneswar: In order to help citizens in the Capital City on payment of taxes or assessing holding tax, applying for new trade and food license under one roof in a hassle-free and smooth manner, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) started a fair on Saturday.

BMC administrator Sangramjit Nayak inaugurated the special fair at Saheed Nagar Kalyan Mandap for ward numbers- 28, 29, 30, 34 and 35. The month long event will continue till March 28.

According to BMC sources, the fair will be held at different places across the city during the month to provide everyone enough time in addressing their queries or doubts in regard to payment and assessment of holding tax, applying trade license and food license.

“We urge everyone who have doubts or queries regarding holding tax payment or assessment, and those who wish to apply for new trade license and food license should visit this fair in large numbers to avail the services at one place in a quick and hassle-free way,” said Nayak.

“It is a unique initiative. Property owners should deposit and clear their holding tax at the fair,” he added.
