Bhubaneswar: In an assurance to the Rath Yatra devotees and people of Odisha, DGP Prakash Mishra reiterated today that there is no specific information regarding threat to Rath Yatra, the grand festival in Puri.
Attending a passing out pared here at Traffic Training Institute, Mishra said adequate security has been arranged for the smooth conduct of Snana Purnima ritual which will witnesses heavy crowd in the pilgrim city.
“We have requested Centre for more rapid action force of CRPF for this year's Rath Yatra as they would be deployed during Nabakalebar next year", DGP Mishra said. There is no specific information of terror threat to the grand event, he added.
On the chit-fund scam, he promised all possible help to the CBI. "We have provided all records related to chit fund scam sought by the CBI" the DGP said.
