Bhubaneswar: Maoists on Thursday ransacked a liquor shop at Padia in Malkangiri.

Around 40 armed Maoists raided and destroyed the stock of liquor in the shop during the wee hours on Friday. They had also put up a poster in the shop that stated – the attacks are the repercussion of the State govt’s failure to keep its word following the Malkangiri Collector’s release.

Earlier on Thursday, the Red rebels had blow up Niliguda panchayat office in Malkangiri and killed and charred the son of Kurub village head.
