Koraput: The BSF jawans have unearthed an illegal country-made gun manufacturing unit inside Orlipada forest near Nakatipadar village of Narayanpatna block on Friday.
According to reports, the jawans have also seized huge cache of arms and ammunition from the gun making unit.
Besides machineries used for manufacturing weapons, large quantity of claymore mines, drilling machines, Maoist uniforms and Maoist magazines have also been recovered from the deserted location, sources said.
Last month, security personnel had busted a country-made gun factory in Malkangiri district and seized explosives from Kandhamal district during separate raids.
According to police, the guns which were being manufactured at Pakurkonda village under Kalimela police station area in Malkangiri district, were being supplied to Maoists.
