Docs in Nabarangpur to ascertain cause of unknown diseases

Umerkote: A team of four doctors from Berhampur has visited Boraguda village of Nabarangpur to find out the reasons of the unknown diseases that claimed seven lives within a week.

The team led by NT Minj has examined sample of blood, food items, and drinking water. But, no such clue of the disease has been found, doctors and CDMO admitted.

Currently, three persons are under treatment at the hospital after being suffered from the diseases.

On the other hand, people have panicked and started their traditional puja to appease their village goddess.

Sources said, seven persons were killed due to unknown diseases in the village under Jharigaon block in the district. Besides, more than ten people including children affected by the diseases were under treatment in different hospitals.
