Bhubaneswar: Chief minister Naveen Patnaik today ordered the reorganization of the Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation (OSCSC) during the review meeting of the Food Supply and Consumer Welfare department.

Moreover, Patnaik also asked the concerned officials to ensure that eligible beneficiaries are duly brought into the fold of National Food Security Act while the ineligible ones are weeded out.

Patnaik also took stock of the implementation Paddy Procurement Automation System (P-PAS) and asked the authorities to roll out the system in all the 314 blocks of the State by the 2017-18 kharif season.

According to departmental sources, 60 mandis (markets) in the State are currently functioning under the P-PAS while the target is to bring 100 mandis into its fold in the current kharif season.
