Bhubaneswar: BPUT students association staged dharna outside the Odisha JEE office here at Gandamunda alleging major irregularities in the joint examinations.

The students demanded its financial audit and removal of the officials involved in it. Moreover, they demanded to abolish the NFT (Not fit for technical education) system from the BPUT regulation.

As per the norm, a student can not appear for 2nd semester exam if he/she failed to secure grade 4.5 in first semester.

The sloganeering students also demanded to intensify the placement cell.
