The district police rushed to the spot to arrest any likely flare-up simmering between the two groups since the double murder on Monday.

"The agitation was in protest of the detention of three more persons last night in connection with the murder," informed Sambalpur SP Sanjeev Arora.

On Monday, a group of five persons led by one Pandav Mukhi allegedly stabbed one Sujit Nag to death over past enmity.

Although Sujit was rushed to the Sambalpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH), he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
