Shocking! Minor girl raped by 75-yr-old man in Odisha

Balasore: A 75-year-old man was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping a 10-year-old girl in Sana Maitapur village under Simulia police limits of Balasore district.

According to information, the accused has been identified as Surendra Behera.

According to sources, the accused allegedly lured the 10-year-old girl with a chocolate and some money and took her to a lonely place, where he raped her.

The incident came to light after the minor girl narrated the matter to her mother, following which a complaint was lodged at the police station.

"We found that the accused was a neighbour of the girl. The minor girl has been sent for medical examination and after her statements are recorded under Section 164 of the CrPc, the accused will be forwarded to court," said Simulia IIC, Sanjay Parida.
