Bhubaneswar: Malkangiri police on Thursday began probe into the mysterious disappearance of tribal student of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in Bhubaneswar, Rama Chandra Mandhra. He has been missing since 2015.

A three-member team led by Inspector-in-charge of Mudulipada police station in Malkangiri visited KISS today to collect information including the admission details and when Rama Chandra had left for his home.

Besides, the police team also examined a few college officials on other aspects in connection with the case, informed sources.

Earlier on April 28, the family of Rama Chandra had lodged a complaint in connection with his mysterious disappearance from the school in Bhubaneswar.

While the family members alleged that Rama Chandra didn’t return home from the school, the institute authorities continue to claim that the student had gone home during the summer vacations and didn’t come back.

The mother and brother of the missing tribal student had recently met the State ST and SC Development Minister, Ramesh Majhi who had assured of all possible assistance to the family.
