Cong Krushak Morcha to hold month-long protest over farmers’ issues

Bhubaneswar: The Congress State Krushak Morcha today threatened to stage month-long agitation from July 20 if demands on paddy MSP hike and farm loan waiver announcement by the State government are not fulfilled at the earliest.

After a meeting with Governor SC Jamir, chief of the farmer’s cell of Congress Amiya Patnaik told media that protest meetings will be held in front of the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar and collector’s office across the State during the protest.

During the meeting with the Governor, a delegation of the Congress Krushak Morcha led by Amiya also presented their demands.
