Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha poverty remark at a poll rally in Uttar Pradesh today rocked the State Assembly once again when Congress members created a pandemonium leading to an adjournment in the House proceedings till 3 pm.

Congress chief whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati in demanded for a censure motion against the Prime Minister in the House over the poverty remark.

Talking to newsmen, Bahinipati said, “The Prime Minister should seek an apology in either the Parliament or before the media for his remark against the State and its people.”

Besides, the Congress chief whip slammed the Chief Minster for his silence over the matter.

Notably, on February 25, the Congress members had rushed to the well of the House shouting slogans during the question hour over the PM's Odisha poverty remark. No business could be transacted due to repeated adjournments as the BJD legislators had also created ruckus over the matter.
