Berhampur: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at three places, including the house of Berhampur Municiapl Corporation (BMC) Jamadar Laxman Charchi on charges of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to sources, the anti-corruption wing of the Odisha Police raided the houses of Charchi located at Laxminagar area here and seized some incriminating documents.

Besides, the investigating agency also laid its hands on some bank passbooks in the name of Charchi during the raid.

The raids were still on when reports last came in..
