Bargarh: The Bargarh police today arrested two more accused in connection with the incident of a viral video showing a college girl in uniform being molested in public here.
The two accused identified as Jitu Behera and Murali Barik were arrested from Paikmal Bukurmunda. With this, the total number of arrests rose to eight.
Earlier on Sunday, police had arrested six persons, including the youth who had captured a video of the whole incident.
On October 4, the girl had gone to the Khaira Dam with her male friend where she was molested by a group of persons who had reportedly gathered for a picnic party. They had also attacked her friend on the spot. The mob also video recorded all the events and later posted it on social media.
After the news surfaced, police registered a case and formed two special teams to probe into the incident.
