Bhubaneswar: Anti-corruption department officials on Saturday have raided the house and office of Rabindra Kumar Nayak, an executive engineer of Prachi Irrigation Division, on charges of acumulating wealth disproportionate to his known source of income.

The vigilance officials during the raid have unearthed information about Nayak’s three-storey building worth Rs 70 lakh in Niladri Vihar area, Bhubaneswar.

Similarly, the officials have also raided Nayak’s three more houses at Bhadrak, one at Samaleipur, his residence in Rajmukundpur and his in-laws’ house in Hasanabad area.

The sleuths have also raided Nayak’s office at the irrigation division.

However, Nayak, who is going to retire after 15 days, has denied to speak anything over the issue.
