Rourkela: In a breakthrough in the killing of one Patras Purty, police arrested two persons from the railway station here. Both the accused, identified as Biren Barla (24) and his younger brother Basil Barla (22), confessed during interrogation that they had beaten Purty at Topadihi village under K Balang police limits to death when Purty failed to repay a loan amount taken from them earlier.
The duo had absconded soon after committing the crime. But on a tip off, police apprehended them from the railway station, they said. Both of them hailed from Champajharan village under Chandiposh police station in Sundargarh district. They were produced before a court at Bonai on murder charge which remanded them to jail custody.
