In today's tech-driven world, people can easily access news right in their hands through smartphones with just a few clicks.

At present, Google is in the process of testing a cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) tool, specifically tailored to cater to the needs of journalists.

According to The New York Times, this AI tool utilises the capabilities of a large language model (LLM), the foundation of generative AI platforms like ChatGPT, Bing Chat, and Google Bard.

The main purpose of this tool is to assist news publications in writing news articles.

Google also presents it as a personal assistant for journalists.

Known as "Genesis," the tool is trained on current affairs, enabling it to aid in writing news articles and potentially address some of the limitations associated with generative AI.

One of its key advantages may be producing accurate news articles based on real-time information.

Some executives who saw Google's presentation expressed concerns about the Genesis AI tool, believing it may trivialise the process of news-writing.

However, other details about this tool and how it differs from Google Bard or ChatGPT rival are yet to be clarified, as both platforms are capable of generating news articles based on real-time data, according to the report.
