Surrendered Maoist, son killed in Sundargarh

(image) Bhubaneswar: A surrendered woman Maoist turned police personnel and her four-year-old son were killed at Rourkela in Sundargarh on Friday.

The woman has been identified as Kanduri Lohar alias Madhuri. Their bodies were found near Mahipani level crossing under Bisra police limits.

As per preliminary investigation, Madhuri was shot while her son was killed by slitting his throat. The police also found that the mother-son duo were killed and later their bodies were thrown near the railway crossing.

Kanduri Lohar alias Madhuri donned the khaki, after she surrendered in 2004. The police had also solemnized her marriage with her fiance Shankar Lohar.
