Virat Kohli, the stylish Indian batsman, has tasted success in every format that he played. But, whenever he played against Australia, he has always been at his lethal best.

The 2014-15 Test series in Australia is fondly known for Virat Kohli scoring 692 runs in 4 test matches. He notched up centuries in Adelaide twice and one each in Melbourne and Sydney.

Apart from that, the epic series also had some heated moments which involved Virat Kohli and Mitchell Johnson.

Recalling the moments in a viral video, Virat said, "During the first match of the tour, the very first ball of Johnson hit me on the head. Back then at first, it was complete disbelief. For 60 days I had been visualizing that I'd play like this and that, but there was a complete change of plans after that blow. It was a heavy blow and my vision started dropping as my left eye started swelling, but I did not notice it back then."

He continued: "And what happened at lunch was that, these are the things I feel thankful for; there were basically two options, fight or flight. And my reaction was obviously one that went, how dare he hit me on the head? I said I'll smack him around in the series and that is what I did."

Australia won the series 2-0 during that series in 2014-15. India stormed back and won the next two series played in Australia in 2018-19 and 2020-21 which was one of the peak moments for India in Test cricket.
