An unwanted history was created recently in T20 cricket when a team was bowled out for the lowest score in the shortest format of the game. The incident happened during an international T20 match between Spain and Isle of Man cricket teams at Cartagena in Spain.

In the match, Isle were skittled out for only 10 runs. Seven batsmen in the match got dismissed for ducks. Joseph Burrows was the highest scorer for Isle as he made four runs. Mohammad Kamran from Spain was the wrecker-in-chief. He captured four wickets including a hat-trick in the third over. Kamran dismissed Luke Ward, Carl Hartmann and Edward Beard to get the hat-trick. Atif Mehmood also scalped four wickets for Spain.

Spain won the match by 10 wickets. Opener Awais Ahmed hit two sixes in the first two balls to register the resounding win in style. In the process, Spain became the only team to win an international match in just two balls.

Notably, Isle took part in the T20 World Cup qualifier in 2016 and 2018. They became members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 2017.

Earlier, Sydney Thunder had the lowest T20 score in Big Bash League in Australia last year. They were bundled out for just 15 runs against Adelaide Striker.
