The Reserve Bank of India Services Board has announced recruitment for 120 Officer posts in Grade ‘B’ through direct recruitment across three cadres, General, DEPR (Department of Economic and Policy Research) and DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management).
The resgistration is valid till September 30, 2025 (6 pm). Applications can only be submitted online through the official website of the RBI at rbi.org.in.
Out of the total 120 positions, 83 posts are for the General cadre, 17 for DEPR, and 20 for DSIM, which also include backlog vacancies.
The Phase-I Examination For the General cadre will be conducted on October 18, 2025, while Phase-II is scheduled for December 6, 2025. For the DEPR and DSIM cadres, Phase-I will take place on October 19, 2025, followed by Phase-II on December 7, 2025.
Applicants should be between 21 and 30 years of age as on September 1, 2025. Relaxations in the upper age limit are available for reserved categories, PwBD candidates, ex-servicemen, and those holding higher qualifications.
The educational requirements are as follows:
General cadre: Graduation in any discipline with at least 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or post-graduation with at least 55% (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD).
DEPR: Master’s degree in Economics or Finance with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD). A doctorate or relevant teaching/research experience is considered desirable.
DSIM: Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Data Science, AI, ML, Big Data Analytics or related disciplines with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD), or a four-year Bachelor’s degree in similar subjects with at least 60% marks.
Candidates selected for the post will draw a starting basic pay of Rs 78,450 per month, with gross monthly emoluments (excluding HRA) of about Rs 1.5 lakh, in addition to allowances.
The application fee has been fixed at Rs 850 plus GST for General, OBC and EWS candidates, and Rs 100 plus GST for SC, ST and PwBD categories. RBI staff are exempted from paying the fee.
