India star batsman Suryakumar Yadav on Thursday smashed seven fours and eight sixes to bring up his 4th hundred in T20 international cricket in a match against South Africa in Johannesburg. The ‘Mr. 360’ scored his century in just 56 balls and a strike rate of 178.57.

Now, he equals India’s Hitman Rohit Sharma and Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s record of most centuries in T20I.
India captain Rohit Sharma and Maxwell also have four T20I centuries. However, Suryakumar achieved the milestone in just 57 innings and became the fastest player to do so. All four centuries of SKY have come in the last two years. He has a century each in England, New Zealand, India, and now South Africa.

With his fiery batting and amazing shots, SKY showed why he has been ranked the No.1 T20I batter in the MRF Tyres ICC Men’s Rankings.

Meanwhile, Suryakumar has also overtaken India’s run machine Virat Kohli to smash second-most T20I sixes. While Suryakumar has hit 123 sixes, Virat Kohli has 117 maximums. Only Rohit Sharma (182) has more sixes for India than Yadav.

Coming back to yesterday’s match, SKY’s tremendous century propelled India to a massive total of 201. In reply, South Africa stumbled early on as they were bundled out for 95 runs in the final T20I match. As the first match of the series was washed out due to the rain, India and South Africa shared the honors with 1-1.

Now, the two teams are looking forward to the ODI series, which will commence in Johannesburg on December 17.
