India’s most explosive and 360 degree batsman Suryakumar Yadav (SKY) has carved a niche for himself in the shortest format of the game. He is considered as one of the finest and dangerous T20 batters. With his unorthodox technique, Surya has quickly risen to the top of T20 ladder.

The explosive Mumbai batter is also extremely lucky to get guidance from batting greats like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the Indian team.

During an interview, Surya admitted that he is fortunate enough to get pep talks from his favourite players Virat and Rohit.

When Surya was asked about the bond he shares with Kohli and Rohit, the maverick batsman called the duo a ‘different breed of international cricketers’.

“I am actually very lucky that I share the dressing room with Virat and Rohit. They are a different breed of international cricketers. Things they have achieved, I don’t know I will be ever able to achieve that. Recently, I have had some good partnerships with Virat bhai and I have enjoyed batting with him. Rohit is like an elder brother and my sounding board. When I am in doubt, I ask him direct questions about my game. He has been a good guiding force since I joined Mumbai Indians in 2018,” Surya said.

Notably, Surya has been in prolific form this year in T20Is. He has garnered a total of 1,164 runs at an average of 46.56, with two centuries and nine fifties this year. His individual best score is 117. He is the highest T20I run-scorer this year as well.
