The SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday slammed new record after Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma went on a rampage against Delhi Capitals at their home ground Arun Jaitley Stadium. The openers came out all guns blazing with Travis Head scoring 89 in just 32 balls while Abhishek slammed an exceptional 46 in just 12 balls.

Thanks to their fiery knocks, SRH created a new record of scoring 125 runs in just six overs during the powerplay. This is the first time in the history of IPL and T20 cricket that any team has scored 125 runs in just six overs and what SRH has achieved is beyond imagination.

Earlier, KKR had scored 105 against RCB in 2017 while CSK scored 100 against PBKS in 2014 and 90 runs against MI in 2015. However, SRH’s 125 against Delhi Capitals (DC) is the highest ever in the history of T20 cricket.

Apart from this, the  SRH also broke their own record for best score in the first 10 overs of an innings in IPL. Earlier, SRH had scored 148 runs against Mumbai Indians (MI) just a few days back and they scored 158 against Delhi Capitals (DC) to break their own record in their last match on Saturday.

Talking about the match, DC captain Rishabh Pant won the toss and elected to bowl first. Coming to bat first, SRH’s Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma went berserk from the beginning to take SRH to 266/7 in 20 overs.

The Hyderabad-based franchise co-owned by Kavya Maran has displayed amazing performances in the last few games and is currently placed in fourth place on the points table.
