India put up a massive score of 436 runs on the board in response to England’s 1st innings total of 246 in Hyderabad. On a sluggish track, India were in trouble after losing KL Rahul for 86 on Day 2, but after that, it was Ravindra Jadeja’s vigile knock of 87 off 180 balls that propelled towards a mammoth score that was equally supported by Axar Patel's 44.

Speaking about the innings, former veteran India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar lauded the all-rounder for his efforts.

"Jadeja is probably the best cricketer in the world with the contribution he makes with bat, ball and in the field," Gavaskar said while commentating in the game.

"He adds so much value to the team and by all accounts he is an absolute delight in the changing room as well," he further added.

Jadeja has been India’s crisis man and has shown his prowess with the bat when India need him to perform. Ravindra Jadeja is also No 1 in the all-rounder’s chart which shows his temperament of playing crucial knocks and taking wickets for India in Test cricket.

As things stand now, England has blazed their way towards 89 runs while losing one wicket by playing their brand of cricket ‘Bazball’. They are trailing by 101 runs. Ben Duckett 38* and Ollie Pope 16* are in the middle.
