Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan on Wednesday penned an emotional note for his son Zoravar after the court’s relief in his divorce case with wife Aesha Mukerji.

Dhawan, who has been allowed to visit his son by the court for specific durations, became quite emotional and his post suggests the same as well. He has also been allowed to have video calls to maintain their connection.

“Ek ajeeb si betaabi hai tere bin, reh bhi lete hain aur raha bhi nahi jaata’ – Gulzar Sahab,” Dhawan shared on his Instagram handle. Alongside the sad shayari, he shared a screen-grab of a video call with his son Zoravar.

In the screenshots, Dhawan is all smiles after seeing his son while Zoravar can be seen standing with his hands inside the pockets of his hoodie.

Since being shared online, Dhawan’s post has garnered 764K likes with netizens sending in love and best wishes for the ace cricketer.

“One of the Strongest Man Mentally, Always seen with a Smile 🙌🏻 Respect ❤️” commented a fan.

Another fan wrote, “Respect 🫡 I am fan of your attitude towards life and all that you do and say about others.”

“💙💙💙 Ayyy Zoreh! Your pops is a 👑 you got lots to look forward to! we all cant wait to hang out with you!” commented a third fan.

“You are one of the nicest man ✨ you deserve all the happiness 💖 May you get to be with your son very soon!” shared a fourth user.

Worth mentioning, a Delhi court granted divorce to Dhawan from his estranged wife Aesha Mukerji on the grounds of mental cruelty. The court determined that Mukerji had caused mental distress to Dhawan as she forced him to live separately from their son Zoravar for an extended period.

However, it refrained from issuing permanent custody of their son to Dhawan and instead allowed him to visit his son for specific duration and make video calls.
